Recycle it. Metal food and beverage cans can be recycled in the Alliance Transfer Station Only. This service is administered by the Village of Alliance.
Aluminum foil, plates and containers
Throw it out. Aluminum foil, plates and containers can be thrown out with your regular garbage. Foil that is used to seal yogurt or other containers cannot be recycled as it is a mixture of aluminum and plastic. You should throw it away with your regular garbage.
Scrap metal and unusable metal items
Commercial
Recycle it. Separated scrap metal is highly recyclable, and is accepted at the Regional Landfill. Charges will apply.
Residential
Recycle it. Take scrap metal to any of the local Transfer Stations or the Regional Landfill. Charges will apply.
Aerosol Cans, including Aerosol Paints
Residential
Dispose of it safely.Aerosol cans are not accepted in residential garbage, they are only accepted at the Transfer Stations and the Regional Landfill. Cans do not have to be punctured or crushed before disposal.
Paint cans
Dispose of it safely. Paint and empty, dry paint cans are accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Round Up as well as all Transfer Stations and the Regional Landfill.
