How to Recycle With Us

Learn how to use the yellow plastic bins, what materials are accepted in our other recycling programs, and what to keep out so loads stay clean.

Right Bin, Right Stuff

When bins stay free of the wrong items, your recycling is more likely to be turned into new products instead of being thrown away. Clean, sorted loads also help keep collection sites open for those materials.

Yellow Bins

Flagstaff Waste now accepts rigid plastics numbered 1 to 7. Yellow bins are at the same stations where you already bring cardboard, tin, newsprint, and office paper.

Check the decal on each bin before dropping items in. If bins contain the wrong items or dirty containers, the load may be sent to landfill. Call 780-384-3950 if you are unsure.
